Is Accounting for You?    

To perform these functions, accountants must work with figures
and ideas.  More importantly, they must work effectively with
people and be team players.  Not only do they supervise the
people in their own department, but they also work closely with
production, advertising, engineering and others on the
management team.  Because of this close contact, the
accountant is in a unique position to see and understand the
total operation of the organization.  Accountants have access to
company-wide views of organizations and frequently move into
top management positions.
