Subject: Mathematics Archives move and new gopher
 
 
    The Mathematics Archives has moved.  Funded by a grant from the
National Science Foundation (DUE-9351398), with additional support
from the State of Tennessee Science Alliance, and the Departments of
Mathematics at Calvin College and the University of Tennessee,
Knoxville, the Mathematics Archives is now located at the University
of Tennessee on the dedicated server
 
                   archives.math.utk.edu
 
We currently support both anonymous ftp and gopher (use port 70) with
WAIS searching implemented on abstracts and readme files for files in
the Archives.  The preferred access is through gopher since we provide
access to many mathematical packages and other materials which are
contained at other sites and access to many other gophers of interest
to mathematicians.
    Our goal is to provide access or information for all packages and
related materials which are available on the Internet and which are
useful in the teaching of mathematics at the community college,
college and university levels.  We will also provide information
and citations of reviews of commercial packages.  If you know of any
materials which we do not have or would like to submit materials for
inclusion on the archives, please contact one of the moderators
whose name and interests are given on the archives.
