Getting evaluation software Many permit 30-90 days for review of software Ask potential users to use the software 4. Questions to ask Names of faculty who have used the software at Penn State or elsewhere. What is the evaluation/return policy? Do you have additional literature or write-ups? What other information do I need to know about compatibility? Name of person you are talking to? Will they send you an evaluation copy? How long may you inspect/use the software before returning? How would you find out about enhancements or upgrades in the future? If the are programming errors or I can't get it running whom do I call? 5.
