108 Waring Commons

The IBM side of Waring lab contains 45 IBM 55 SXs and can only be scheduled
up until noon. The Macintosh side cannot be scheduled. Interested persons
should contact Carl Knowlton at 122P Computer Building, 865-4769,
clk@psuvm.psu.edu.(Currently, the overhead and the LCD panel are stored in
the Computer Building and are brought over when needed. This situation
should change sometime during Fall 94 when the equipment will be in the lab
itself.)


Starting Up

1. Remove the monitor cable from the CPU and attach the panel cable in its
place.

2. Attach the panel cable to the LCD panel where it says computer in.

3. Attach the monitor cable to the LCD panel where it says monitor out.

4. Plug in the panel and overhead and turn them on.

5. Turn on the IBM and monitor.

6. If the projected image flickers, press the phase button on the remote
and then the + and - keys to adjust the image. Press phase again when you
are finished.


Shutting Down

1. Turn off the overhead, LCD panel, monitor and computer.

2. Unplug the projector and LCD panel.

3. Disconnect the cables from the panel where it says computer in  and
monitor out..

4. Disconnect the panel cable from the IBM CPU and reconnect the monitor
cable in its place.
